Arthur FOR USE: FRIDAY, MAY 31, 1968 SARASOTA--Seventy-five students from 13 states and two foreign countries begin two weeks of concentrated musical activity tonight (Friday) as the fourth annual New College Summer Music Festival begins. First of the five public concerts by the Festival faculty will be held tomorrow (Saturday) night at Hamilton Center at 8:30 featuring pianist Leonid Hambro and the New College String Quartet. Students register today beginning at 3 p.m. First master classes begin Monday morning but all of Saturday and Sunday will be filled with informal rehearsals of various musical groups under the direction of the faculty. Serving on the faculty this year will be the director, violinist Paul Wolfe, with flutist Julius Baker, French horn player John Barrows, oboist Robert Bloom, double bassist Gaston Dufresne, cellist Bernard Greenhouse, pianist Leonid Hambro, clarinetist Robert Marcellus, bassoonist Sol Schoenbach, and violist Walter Trampler. In addition to Saturday's concert, there will be three other faculty concerts at Hamilton Center on June 7, 8 and 14. The concluding concert, featuring a full symphony orchestra, will be at the Neel Auditorium of Manatee Junior College at 8:30p.m., June 15. more PAGE 2 NEW COLLEGE Page 2 Student concerts will be held June 5 at 8:30 p.mo,on June 9 at 3 p.m. and on June 13 at 2 p.m. Tickets for all faculty concerts are still available at The Sport Shop in Sarasota, Hullingers Music Store in Bradenton, the Festival office on campus and at the Campus Bookstore on u.s. 41 across from the entrance to the Ringling Museums.
