Arthur SUMMER MUSIC FESTIVAL RADIO SPOT FOR WEEK OF MAY 26 FINE MUSIC WILL BE IN THE AIR THIS WEEK WITH THE OPENING OF THE NEW COLLEGE SUMMER MUSIC FESTIVAL AND THE PERFORMANCE OF THE FIRST CONCERT SATURDAY, JUNE 1. PIANIST LEONID HAMBRO WILL BE THE SOLOIST AT HAMILTON CENTER AT 8:30 P.M. SATURDAY PERFORMING WITH THE NEW COLLEGE STRING QUARTET. THIS OUTSTANDING MUSICIAN HAS AN INTER-NATIONAL CONCERT REPUTATION AND IS EVEN MORE WIDELY KNOWN FOR HIS TELEVISION AND FILM WORK. ON THE PROGRAM FOR THE EVENING ARE A TELEMANN QUARTET, A BARTOK QUARTET, BOTH TO BE PLAYED BY THE STRING GROUP)FOLLOWED BY A BRAHMS QUINTET PERFORMED BY HAMBRO AND THE NEW COLLEGE QUARTET. TICKETS FOR THIS FIRST CONCERT ARE AT THE FESTIVAL OFFICE ON CAMPUS, AT THE SPORT SHOP IN SARASOTA, AT HULLINGERS MUSIC STORE IN BRADENTON OR AT THE CAMPUS BOOK STORE ON U.S. 41 OPPOSITE THE ENTRANCE TO THE RINGLING MUSEUM. OTHER CONCERTS FEATURING THE OUTSTANDING MEMBERS OF THE FESTIVAL FACULTY, WILL BE HELD ON FRIDAY JUNE 7, SATURDAY JUNE 8, FRIDAY JUNE 14 and SATURDAY JUNE 15. REDUCED TICKET RATES ARE AVAILABLE FOR THE SERIES AND ALSO SPECIAL RATES ARE IN EFFECT FOR GROUPS OF TWELVE OR MORE. II
