Arthur FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE SARASOTA, Pla.--Allen Jaworski, son of Hr. and Mrs. Alexander Jaworski of 18 Lucille Place, Passaic, New Jersey, was one of five New ColleMe students to be selected as designates by the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation. Selection by the Foundation eans that he is judges as among the b st future teacher prospects among students in North American colleges and universities. The Foundation selected 1,124 students at 309 colleges and universities in the u.s. and Canada from among more than 11,000 nominees. Jaworski, who is taking the option to graduate with a bache iDr of arts degree after three years of study at New College, is majoring in mathematics. He plans to continue his studies at graduate school in preparation for a career in teaching. Jaworski's selection, along with the four other from New College, helped that insititution to lead all other private colleges in Alabama, Florida, Georgia and South Carolina in numbers of Woodrow Wilson The selection by the Foundation Means that name will be forwarded to the deans of all graduate with a notation that he is "worthy of financial support in graduate school." Jaworski will be a member of the second graduating class of New College. In the first class, five students also were chosen by the Woodrow Wilon Foundation. 30 |
