NEWS RELEASE NEW COLLEGE SARASOTA, FLORIDA 33578 1 -91 813/ 355-7131 Ref.: Furman c. Arthur FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Dr. Donald A. Wells, visiting professor of philosophy at the University of South Florida, will speak at Hamilton Center, New College, Tuesday (January 23) at 4 p.m. Dr. Wells, who has been professor and chairman of the Department of Philosophy at Washington State University where he has taught since 1948, will give an address entitled "Pacifism and the War Myth." A graduate of Hamline University, Dr. Wells later studied at the Boston University School of Theology and then earned his doctorate from the Boston University Graduate School. Author of numerous articles and three books, he has been a popular speaker in platform debate and on radio and television programs on the issues of war and peace. 30 -
