Arthur FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE SARASOTA--Ivy League graduate schools are favorites among the seniors at New College, according to results of a survey just completed. Yale and Columbia universities each have issued acceptances to five graduating students of the Class of 1968. Accepting from two to four students among the Ivy League universities were Cornell, Harvard, Princeton, and Pennsylvania. A total of 61 graduate school acceptances already have been received by the 45 students expecting to graduate. Other multiple acceptances for the class were given by University of Chicago, Indiana University, University of Minnesota, University of Maryland, University of Texas, University of Wisconsin, University of California at Berkeley and the University of California at Los Angeles. The list of graduate schools accepting at least one student was even longer, numbering some 20 universities across North America: Brown, British Columbia, Connecticut, Colorado, Duke, Florida State, Florida, George Washington, Illinois, Johns Hopkins, Michigan, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Syracuse, Virginia, Vanderbilt, Washington, and California Institute of Technology, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Union Theological Seminary. 30 |
