NEWS RELEASE NEW COLLEGE, SARASOTA, FLORIDA FURMAN C ARTHUR INFORMATION SPECIAL TO: The Batavia Batavia, Illinois Sarasota, Fla.-David Pini1 son of Mr. and Mrs. John o. P1ni1 Batavia, has been elected a representative on the student government at ew College. Pini1 in his third ear at Tew was elected to the Student Executive Co ttee b his classmates in the Class of 1967. Re is one of three representativ s lected from his cla s to the nine ember committee. Following his elect d he was ppointed to the Student Academic Committee. As a member of this committee he will participate in an examination of the coll e's curricul by the student and subsequent reco nda-tions to the faculty. ew College, now in its third year of operation, is a college of the liberal arts and sciences offerin a bachelor's degree in three full years of tudy. The school maintain a high faculty to student ratio and stresses small classes, seminars, and independent study. -3o-
