To be mailed May 16 1966 NEW COLLEGE, SARASOTA, FLORIDA FURMAN C. ARTHUR INFORMATION FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE College first year student Cheryl McT,Jhorter of will give a recital Friday (May 20) in the Husic Room of College Hall at 7 p.m. Cheryl, a flutist, will give the recital as part of her in fulfilling her independent study project. She will be assisted in the program by second year student Paul Mad!eil and accompanied by Hiss Phyllis Rappeport, a piano instructor at Rollins Chery 1 t.rill play Hozart' s Flute Concerto No. 1 in G Haj or and Enesco' s Cantabile et presto. t>aul t.rill play Brahms' Clarinet Sonata No. 2 in E Flat Hajor. Cheryl has been studying t.rith Hiss Patricia Stenberg, visit-ing instructor in music at New College. She also is a member of the Florida Hest Coast Youth Symphony and the Uanatee Band. -30-
