FOR HiltEDIATE RELEASE NEW COLLEGE, SARASOTA, FLORIDA FURMAN C ARTHUR INFORMATION Dr. Jon R. Culbertson, a research associate at Florida State University, has been named assistant professor of biology at New College. A native of Chicago, Dr. Culbertson earned his bachelor's and master's degrees at the University of Illinois and his at Northwestern University. In addition to his research and faculty duties at Florida State, he has taught at Illinois, Northwestern, and at Kendall College. Dr. Culbertson has held a National Science Foundation fellowship and an Abbott Research Fellowship. Several of his scientific papers have been pub-lished in learned journals. -30-
