NEW COLLEGE NEWS RELEASE NEW COLLEGE, SARASOTA, FLORIDA FURMAN C ARTHUR INFORMATION New College has received a grant of $5,000 from the Federal govern-ment to be used for the strenr,theninR of its library, President John Elmen-dorf announced today. The grant is the maximum amount that any institution can receive this year under the nevr College Library Resources Program, President Elmen-dorf said. New College is using the money to pay for netv books and other materials for its rapidly growing library. The New College collection currently numbers about 30,000 bound volumes, all of tvhich are housed on the second floor of College Hall, the former Charles Ringling residence. During the coming year the library will begin to expand into the first floor of College Hall. -30-
