Pic enclosed NEW COLLEGE, SARASOTA, FLORIDA FURMAN C ARTHUR INFORMATION SPECIAL TO '1'HE SARASOTA tlERALD-l'RIBUNE FOR IJILEASE: Sunday, Auguat 8, 1965 College Examiner and Professor of Psychology, Dr. John w. French, has recently been elected to the Anerican Psychological Association 19 Council of Repreentatives, the policy-making body of the Association. After acquiring his Ph, D at Princeton, Dr. French was instructor in Phyaica and Psychology at his alma mater, later serving the Educational Testing Service as Chairman of the Educational Research Croup, including research for the College Entrance Examination Board. His work as Examiner for rew College includes research directed toward finding what kinds of students succeed in the particular environment of New College. Dr. and Mrs. French reside at 5304 Eastchester Drive and have a son who is a student at the University of North Carolina, and a daughter, Mrs. Richard Sebastian. -30+
