NEW COLLEGE NEWS RELEASE FOR RELEASE: AUGUST 5, 1965 NEW COLLEGE, SARASOTA, FLORIDA FURMAN C ARTHUR INFORMATION Sarasota, Fla. --A television program filmed on the New College campus last winter will be shown on the Columbia Broadcasting System network August 8 at 10:00 a.m. A special CBS team filmed an hour-long program featuring Dr. Arnold J. Toynbee, then Visiting Professor of History at the college. With Dr. Toynbee on the program were Dr. W. H. McNeill, Professor of History at the University of Chicago, and students Charles Hamilton, Ray McClain, and Anna Navarro. Dr. George Curry, New College Professor of History, was moderator. The dialogue between Dr. Toynbee and members of the panel is on the area of religion. The entire was filmed out of doors last February on the campus southeast of College Hall. The show is part of the "Lamp Unto My Feet" series and may be viewed locally over Channel 13, WTVT. -30-
