Slaughter, Corporate President of EMR, electronics re-search corporation of Sarasota, has notified Dr. George F. In making this announcement, Mr. Slaughter said, "The Schlumberger Foundation was created and funded by Schlumberger in Houston in March 1954 to promote charity, education, religion, and science. The principal activity of the Foundation since that time has been to grant scientific scholarships to se-lected universities and colleges.
