FOR RELEASE: On Receipt z z/ 191.. 'I NEW COLLEGE, SARASOTA, FLORIDA FURMAN C. ARTHUR INFORMATION Sarasota, Florida--Dallas w. Dort, a former States Depar-tment of State official, has been named a trustee of New Colleje. Dort, a native of Flint, and now owner of a 3,000 acre cattle ranch in Sarasota, was active as director of Central Admini-strative Services of the Office for Emersency during World War II. After the war, he participated in t.he develoJ?ment and presentation to of the Marshall Plan, was a member of the special United Nations Committee on Relief Needs and took part in the organization oi and was the first U. S. representative of the Council of UNICEF. Dort was the U. S. representative on and chair-man of the Supply Committee of the United Na tions Relief and Rehabilitation Administration. The New trustee was graduated from Princeton University and earned his law at the University of New opens for its first classes in the fall of this year as an independent, private, coeducational of the liberal arts and sciences. ##
