Abstract: For my thesis exhibition I have completed several mechanical sculptures, each given life through electricity. I tried to put myself in a god-like position, attempting to create and animate sculptures based roughly on organisms that exist in the outside world. These sculptures will be shown together in the Isermann Gallery at the end of the school year in a one-week show open to New College students, faculty, and the general public. I have picked this project and these materials because of my interest in how gallery space relates to the natural world. For my thesis project I have explored this interest using a visual language, creating my own environment within the Isermann Gallery.
