The graduation also is a culmination of three days of activities of the students. Tonight, tQere will be an official reception for the graduating students and their parents at Hamilton Center. more

Borden Jr., Dr. Peter F. Buri, and Dr. Rollin B. Posey, College Examiner Dr. John W. French, the Rev. Horace N. Cooper, and Commencement Marshal Robert J. Norwine. Students and their guests at the commencement ceremonies will have an opportunity to hear both music and poetry by other students. The New College Brass Choir, made up of four students and one faculty member, will provide all music during the commencement. Members are Paul Ukleja, Henry L. Thomas, James A. Frisch, and Deane L. Root together with Dr. Jon Culbertson. Poems written by graduating seniors Glenda Cimino and David Rollow will be read by second year student Laurence Alexander. The graduating class represents 23 states and one foreign country among its members. Ceremonies will be held in a building that had not even been designed when the members of the graduating class enrolled in September 1964. Ground had only been cleared and foundations laid for the three dormitories which have now been supplemented by several other new buildings. Students chose not to wear formal academic robes and caps at their graduation but the faculty who are taking part in the ceremony will wear theirs. A final event of graduation day will be a late afternoon opportunity for seniors and their parents to visit with Dr. and Mrs. Elmendorf at their home. 30 -
