NEW COllEGE, SARASOTA, FLORIDA FURMAN C. ARTHUR -INFORMATION For Release: Friday, Narch 11, 1966 Dr. Leo Steinberg, Hho holds a professorship in art at Hunter College in New York, discusses the work of artist Pablo Picasso at the third in the New College New Perspectives lectures Friday at College Hall at 8 p.m. A widely known lecturer on art, especially at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Dr. Steinberg will talk about the works of Picasso during the last dozen years. Moscow-hom and London trained as an artist, the speaker earned his doctorate at New York University for a dissertation on the Roman baroque architect Francesco Borromini. This year he will have released on the CBS network a film on Michelangelo's frescoes in the Cappella Paolina. This is the first of the series of New College lectures to vary from a Thursday date. Tickets are available at $3.50 each for single admission by calling 355-7131, Ext. 22, or at the door in the evening. -30-
