PAGE 1 FOR RELEASE: Saturday, June 25, 1966 NEW COLLEGE, SARASOTA, FLORIDA FURMAN C ARTHUR INFORMATION A chamber concert, the third in a series featuring the ar-tists of the Netv College Suunner Husic Festival, will be held tonight (Saturday, June 25) at the Florida \-lest Coast Symphony Hall at 8:30 p.m. The four part program t-.Till feature flutist Julius Baker, vJ.olinist and festival director Paul Holfe, cellist Gabor Rejto, pianist Jacques Abram, oboist Robert Bloom and violist David Dawson. Husic for the evening rar.ges from that by Bach to a contem-porary tvork by Benjamin Britten. The series, which has drawn plaudits from reviewers and critics of area net.rspapers, continues with a chamber orchestra concert Sunday afternoon and three more concerts the follm.ring tveekend. On tonight's program Hill be an opening selection by Bach, Trio Sonata in G Hajor, featuring Baker, Holfe, Rejto and Abram. This be followed by the modern composition by Britten, Phantasy for Oboe and Strings, played by Bloom, Wolfe, Dawson and Rejto. Third selection tvi 11 be Hozart' s Quartet in D Major performed by Baker, Wolfe, Dat-1son and Rej to. The program concludes with the playing of Brahms' Trio in B Major, Opus 8 with Abram, Holfe and Rejto. -more- PAGE 2 -2-This performance, like the others, 11 be held in the Florida West Coast Symphony Hall in Sarasota's Civic Center, designed especially for chamber music and completely air conditioned.
