/ / -NEW COLLEGE NEWS RELEASE NEW COLLEGE, SARASOTA, FLORIDA FURMAN C ARTHUR INFORMATION 14, of a vice president of was py President John Elmendorf as he made public a program of alignment to meet the college's growing responsibility to the Paul Davis, whose appointment as Director of Resources and was announced in August, has been named to the vice presidency, His ties, said Elmendorf, will be in overal direction of the college's program for development of resources, public relations, long range institutional planning, and alumni affairs. Donald P. Biggs who has been serving as New College Development Officer for southern Florida, has been named Director of Development. nr. Elmendorf said that Furman c. Arthur would continue as Director of Public Relations and Mrs. lllbiili:4 Swift as a Development .r; : '': : He said that other staff people would be added as needs arise to cover additional responsibilities in the areas of institutional support and alumni work. "New College in its first five years has begun to grow into an institution of considerable size and influence," said President Elmendorf. "We now have a greater responsibility than ever to serve our students, our faculty and staff, our many good friends, and even those who may be influenced by New College in the future." -more-
