FOR: IMMEDIATE RELEASE PHILOSOPHER SPEAKS ON AESTHETICS NEW COLLEGE, SARASOTA, FLORIDA FURMAN C. ARTHUR INFORMATION Dr. Martin S. Eshleman, chairman of the Department of Philosophy at Carleton ColleJe will speak Monday at 8 p.m. at the Ringling Museum's Asolo Theatre on the subject of aesthetics. Dr. Eshleman's lecture, which is open to the public as well as to New College students, will be sponsored by New College and the Ringling Museum of Art. Tickets may be reserved by calling the Humanities Division at New Colle-je. In addition to his lecture at the theatre, Dr. Eshleman will visit the campus and talk with students of New College. The students spent part of their first term at New College studying aesthetics which is part of the year long Humanities curriculum. In the current term they have been studying music and art. Dr. Eshleman, a graduate of Haverford College and Yale University, has been with Carleton since 1944. He is the author of a number of articles on ethics and aesthetics and is currently on a book in the latter field. # # #
