La' lotte. l?or 25 years Collins t.Jas n teacher in preparatory schools in Pe 1 namp-shire and Sarasota. A of Jlamilton Colle()'e, he did advanced 'vorl: at Columbia University, University of 1fassachusetts, and Dartmouth Coll::!p,e in the fields of English, f.conomics, and Education. For ten years he uas on the faculty of Union Academy in reriden, 1;. l!., serving as EnBlish teacher, head of the department, and coach of the hockey team. Before moving to Sarasota in 1948, he t-las associated '-Ti th the England Gas and Electric Association in as a director of the firn and he also was active Hith a paper firn there. He is a past director of the Community Chest, Has treasurer of the Citizen1s League, and a founding member and trustee of the First Congrenational Church. He is a member of the Board of Governors of the Ivy League Club of Sarasota and also vice president of the Dartmoudn Club. The Collins have have three children and three grandchildren. -30-
