NEW COLLEGE NEWS RELEASE NEW COLLEGE, SARASOTA, FLORIDA FURMAN C. ARTHUR INFORMATION FOR RELEASE: May 14, 1964 A group of high school youngsters in New Jersey has made its contribution to the New College scholarship Fund. Members of the Senior High Pilgrim Fellowship of the Community Congregational Church in Short Hills, New Jersey sent a check to New College for $200. This amount represented the proceeds of a New College Day in which each member of the fellowship sought jobs to raise money for the college. The young girls and boys did babysitting, housework, washed cars and performed other odd jobs to earn money for the college. They asked that their contribution help provide scholarship funds for a student entering New College in the fall. Their work followed the example of their parents who have individually and as a church group made gifts to New College. ###
