Dort, o vmer of a 3, 000 acre cattle ranch in Sarasota County becomes the 26th member of the board, which has local, national and international representation. New Colle:Je News Release -2 helped to develop the plan for the economic restoration of Austria, I taly and Greece in cooperation with those govern-ments. Dort also was director of Central Administrative Services for several years during World War II. CAS was set up I to assist the multitude of temporary agencies in oryanization, staffing, budgeting, and administration. At one time more than 6, 000 persons were en-:1aged in this work under Dort. Since comin-:I to Florida in 1951, Dor t has established the Double D ranch, which he both owns and operates. He is a director of the Florida cattleman' s Association and a chairman of its Beef Committee and also a member of the American National Cattleman's Ass'n. Dort serves as a supervisor of the Sarasota Soil Conserva-tion District, member and first vice chairman of the Sarasota County Public Hospital Board and President of the Sarasota Sister City Association. He is past president of the area council of the Boy Scouts of America, of the Players of Sarasota, and of Sarasota Bay County Club. He is a member of the Sarasota Rotary Club and commodore of the Field Club. r
