NEW COllEGE SARASOTA, FLORIDA COPY FOR RELEASE 1 On Receipt Sarasota, Florida --Judith Runyon today was accepted a member of the Charter Claea of Hew College, which opens in September as a private college of the liberal ar-ts and sciences. Judith is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Eugene Runyon, who reside at 210 Brookhaven Road, North Kingston, Rhode Island. Judith joins a select 9roup of students from all parts of the nation who will be among the Charter Class at Hew College. They will study on a 115-acre waterfront campus under the direction of a faculty which numbers during the first year Dr. Arnold J. Toynbee, the famoua English historian. Rew College offers a unique curriculum which permits students to study ll month of each year and to graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree in three years instead of the more usual four. Campus buildings are being designed by Hew York architect I. M. Pei. At Korth Kingston High School, Judith was active in Rational Honor society(Secretary), Rhod Island Honor Society, Dramatics (Director), Debating, Yearbook (Writing Bditor), Girls Atheletic Association, Library Assistant, URI Seminar (.Marine Biology) acccmpanist to Chorus, member of Piano Ensemble, Choir, and Christian Youth Organization.
